Surf'n'Turf: 16-AUG-06
Before the Surf Report I'll just mention I have actually been busy with this blog. I decided to incorporate categories into my blog instead of having them linked offsite. This was the equivalent of doing about 12 posts. But the new categories are much better now both in content and location. They are linked on the left sidebar, and I've tidied that up a little too.
Search of the week: This week's winner for Google search of the week is the person who arrived here searching for "witness protection program new zealand". The person who landed looking for "paris hilton international church of christ" came a close second.
Tsop Doog: Jeana decodes our common backmasking in The Hidden Message. Jeana lays this out as only she can - so often the message sent is not the message received. Enod Llew.
TV Karts: Agent Tim takes issue with a literal tv marathon. It's car-shaped karts that play tv shows for kids. Being used in US grocery stores. Despite some news reports I can tell you they aren't a craze here in NZ. Good or bad idea?
Beautiful: Honest, self-aware, and caught by beauty - all of which describes in other words... by Tonia at Intent. I love writing like this.
Blogging: La Shawn Barber has been doing a great series on blogging. Check out her latest post, Blogging: An Innocent Fraud? She knows what she's talking about, and makes good observations about "the long tail".
Great Stuff: Came across this excellent short piece by John Piper a few days ago, Talking to People Rather Than about Them. Piper has some added insight on this general topic that I'd not come across before. Challenging and inspiring.
Hat Tip: Adrian Warnock
Carnival: This week's Blogging Chicks Carnival is up.
My own post today is Wot, no deodorant? (or scroll down the page), in which I enlist the aid of the famous Chad in our current war.
